Welcome to the third podcast for AbsolutQueer Photography.
So what is going up this week?
Well, it’s been a busy week for me with meetings most nights, so the sets that have gone up are from early April – Mariah and Friends that crazy wild night of Drag and circus at Bethnal Green Working Mens club, and another fabulous week from It’s a Drag knockout – where the talent was again top notch!
However, you’ll all be pleased to hear that Im catching up, and soon should be back to a near real time release.
So where will I be, and more importantly where should you be.
Jonny Woo’s East London lecture continue and are worth the time.
There’s two good reasons for going to Bloc Bar – the opening of their Brunch grill menu and then later for Babez with pop and crazy music.
There’s also a picnic in Soho to remember the 17-24-30 bombings.
And as part of the Glry later the fabulous Ferel is Kinky on the Decks and Amber Waze performing.
There’s only one Sunday Sunday at Vogue Fabric Dalston – run by Maxi More and one of the best crazy spaces.
It’s a holiday – hurrah – and there might be sunshine. Whatever happens – we’re back at Bloc Bar for the next round of It’s a Drag Knockout – were down to the top four, and this weeks challenge is a 12-15 minute set. It’s going to be a blast!
As always Bar Wotever is a recommendation. Actually no one else seems to be doing ought on Tuesday.
House of Idiots return to Brixton Market – Jonathan Richardson is the most delightful idiot.
At the Glory is the first heat of Man Up – the Drag king competition at the Glory with Jonny Woo and Adam All
House of Q returns to Cecils and I am so looking forward to this.
If not there, the Bloc Bar has the return of the Family Fierce.
And OMG this is where all the events ended up…
The Lip Sinkers being their brand of high energy crazy to the RVT – this is most costume changes singing/lipsynching show with so much grinnage.
Wotever is taking its brand of queer performance to the Glory in East London.
